Rakod foundation employs an integrated approach towards the poor and the vulnerable people lead full and productive lives with a focus on the signature program areas of the health, agriculture livelihood and education. We bring public-and private sector together for community-based development.

Our current work in Ghana focuses on Health, Education, Hygiene; and Agricultural livelihood.
Education and Hygiene

Education And Hygiene

Rakod foundation education and hygiene program works in collaboration with Ghana education services, Ghana health service and the district assemblies to improve infrastructure and sanitation behaviors in over 50 schools and communities. We mobilize school health clubs and sanitation advocacy groups, hand washing facilities and changing rooms for girls.

We also promote community-led sanitation and establish safe water points in communities.
Health Services


To improve general health care and screening for the aged and young adult to increase demand for quality health services. Rakod foundation improves access to facilities through an emergency transport system; provide essential medical equipment and suppliers and mobilize community for improved health-seeking behavior.

RAKOD FOUNDATION is helping expands access to general health in communities through health screenings, Hypertension, high blood pressure and high sugar levels and providing delivery kit and supplies.
Agricultural Livelihoods

Agricultural Livelihoods

Rakod works to improve smallholder farmers’ production through the introduction of appropriate new techniques and the development of skills to profitability supply local and regional markets. We are currently working other community farmer’s groups to increase household nutrition and create sustainable market linkages in the cassava, yam and maize.

We are helping communities improve their nutrition by strengthen agriculture systems.in Volta region rakod is helping communities increase their production of yams, maize and cassava. The program supports 100 farmers. The goals include establishing a sustainable supply of high-quality seed for commercial viable crops.
